The Hoff: Princess Di was smitten with me

Baywatch star David makes waves with new autobiography

David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff has sensationally revealed that Princess Diana wanted to bed him but he resisted her charms because he was a married man.

In his new autobiography entitled Making Waves, the Knight Rider star, 54, says that Elton John also lusted after him as they shared a concert bill in Germany.

But it is the claims that Diana was 'smitten' with the Baywatch star when he met the Princess at London charity event in 1993 that has sparked the most controversy.

Hasselhoff, who is tipped to get his first UK Chart Number One with cheesy cult single Jump In My Car, said Diana was impressed by his muscular 6ft 4in body.

‘She was smitten with me since I am so tall. I was smitten with her since she was so tall,’ he says. ‘I probably would have gone after her if circumstances had been different. In the end, I just wanted to be a friend and to hang out with her.’
