Jay Kay lashes out

Jamiroquai frontman brawled with photographers outside club

Singer Jay Kay lashed out at photographers outside a London nightclub.

But the snappers weren't even waiting for him - they were hoping to catch actress Lindsay Lohan.

The 36-year-old star emerged from Kabaret's Prophecy in the early hours of Tuesday morning and, according to bystanders, started shouting at the paparazzi and called them 'monkeys'. He then allegedly punched photographer Alan Chapman.

Jay was eventually arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to Saville Row police station. He was released yesterday afternoon.

A spokesman for the singer said: 'I can confirm that Jay Kay was involved in an altercation with a photographer. He has been interviewed by police and released with a caution.'
