Geri's baby 'assaulted'

Geri Halliwell fears her baby was abused by member of staff

Geri Halliwell has told police her three-month-old daughter Bluebell was physically abused by a temporary member of her staff.

The former Spice Girl made a complaint at a London police station two weeks ago regarding an incident concerning her daughter.

Geri had gone for a walk with friends during a stay at Liphook Golf Club, leaving Bluebell in the care of a temporary nanny. When they returned the 34-year-old discovered bruising on her baby's arm.

Geri's personal assistant Antony Read says: 'Bluebell is now happy and well, and there are no further concerns for her welfare.

'The matter is now under investigation by the police and therefore we are unable to make any further comment.'

A Scotland Yard spokesman confirms: 'We are investigating an allegation of physical abuse of a three-month-old baby. The child abuse investigation unit are investigating, and inquiries continue. There have been no arrests.'
