Pink became a bride thanks to vodka

Punk rocker reveals how she surprised her motor-cross star lover

Pink has revealed how vodka helped her propose to her husband, motor-cross star Carey Hart.

The 26-year-old hell-raiser says she suddenly got the urge to pop the question as she watched her on-off boyfriend of five years dart round the track at Mammoth Mountain in California.

‘I had a large vodka and Red Bull for courage,' she's admitted to the Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine, 'then I grabbed one of the boards they use for pit stops and I wrote on it: “Will you marry me?”

‘He came round the track and totally ignored the sign. I thought he’d snubbed me but later he told me he just couldn’t read the sign because he had dirt on his visor.’

The couple married on a beach in Costa Rica in January. There were just 100 guests, including the bride’s best friend, Lisa Marie Presley.

Pink, born Alecia Moore, added that Carey, 30, thanked the bottle of Absolut Vodka that gave her the courage to propose, in his specially written wedding vows.
