Babyshambles frontman is charged with five counts of possession

Rock singer Pete Doherty has appeared in court and pleaded guilty to five counts of possessing illegal drugs.
The 27-year-old frontman of Babyshambles, was charged with possessing drugs including heroin and cocaine between April and early August this year. He will be sentenced on 4 September. District Judge Alison Rose warned him he could face jail.
The troubled singer, a self-confessed drug addict and on-off boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, appeared at Thames Magistrates' court wearing a white polo shirt and blue jeans after spending the night in custody.
Pete, who comes from Haggerston, east London, was released on bail on condition that he checked into rehab at The Priory Clinic in West London.
