Jamie Oliver puts on 10st

The TV chef fattens up for the cameras

Jamie Oliver MBE was snapped with a film crew in Bellenden Road, Peckham today looking pretty porky.

But the 31-year-old hadn't been stuffing himself with pasta, he was simply wearing a 'pukka' fat suit.

'I think it was something to do with his school dinners campaign,' says Martin from On Demand Media, who spotted the location trucks but didn't recognise the TV chef straight away.

'Jamie was sitting in a black Range Rover looking like the man who'd eaten all the pies. His make-up and padding were totally convincing. The costume department had even dressed him in one of his trademark plaid shirts in an XXXL size.'
