Westlife attacked by rhino

Boyband charged at by two ton beast during safari park visit

Pop stars Westlife were given the fright of their lives when a rhino charged at them during a trip to a Safari park.

Kian Egan, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne were touring Knowsley Safari Park in Liverpool when their car startled a white rhino.

The two ton beast was taken by surprise and rampaged towards them. Their guide David Ross slammed his foot on the accelerator and sped off with seconds to spare.

He told The People: 'It certainly caused a bit of excitement in the car and we had to beat a hasty retreat. The rhino was sweltering in the heat and I think we got a bit too close. The boys fully enjoyed their trip - even though it was a bit frightening.'
