Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has defended Mel Gibson by saying he's not anti-Semitic.

Gibson, 50, admitted saying: 'The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world', after being pulled over in Malibu and arrested on drink-driving charges.

But Swayze, who's currently in London starring in musical Guys and Dolls, has spoken up for his friend.

The 51-year-old says: 'I feel bad for Mel, he's a wonderful human being. If anybody dares try to pull this crap of messing with his career, it's wrong.'
