Sexy Samantha will play Harry Potter's mum

Sex And The City actress will star alongside Daniel Radcliffe

Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall will co-star with Daniel Radcliffe in a new TV show.

The 50-year-old blonde portrayed man-eater Samantha in the hit US series but her new role is a middle-aged mum in a new British TV drama for ITV1.

My Boy Jack will focus on the true story of Rudyard Kipling's soldier son, played by Daniel, who goes missing in action while fighting in World War One.

'Having won the heart of millions in Sex And The City as Samantha, it's a real thrill to welcome Kim to ITV1,' drama chief Laura Mackie says.

'The part of Caroline Kipling will see her in a completely different role.'

The two-hour drama will be shot in Dublin this summer.
