Lohan ticked off about late-night partying

Lindsay Lohan is sent warning letter by the producer of her new film

Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has been sent a warning letter by an angry film chief telling her to lay off the partying.

The 20-year-old, who is currently filming Georgia Rule alongside Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman, was absent from set on Wednesday due to 'heat exhaustion'.

But producer James G Robinson was so angry about the star's antics he wrote her a letter slating her behaviour.

In it he said: 'You have told us your various late arrivals and absences have been the result of illness. Today we were told it was "heat exhaustion". We are well aware your all-night heavy partying is the real reason. We refust to accept bogus excuses for your behaviour.'

Speaking on entertainment show The Insider the actress's spokeswoman Leslie Sloan Zelnick said Lindsay 'had been filming Georgia Rule in 105F weather for 12 hours that day'.

And Lindsay's mum, Dina Lohan, insists the wording of the letter is 'ridiculous'. She recalls: 'Lindsay told me: "Mommy, I feel sick; like I am going to faint" - before she took herself to the hospital. She has asthma and in extreme cold or heat you can't breathe.'
