Jada Pinkett Smith describes meeting Tom and Katie's new daughter

Baby Suri's failure to make a public appearance since her birth on 18 April is baffling Hollywood. Why are proud parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes keeping their daughter under wraps?

Suggestions have been circulating that baby Suri doesn't really exist. But Jada Pinkett Smith - the actress wife of Will Smith - has helped calm the rumours by describing her first visit to see the little girl.

She told People magazine: 'She's one of the sweetest babies I've ever met in my life. she's an absolute beauty and Daddy's little girl.'

Former Dawson's Creek star Katie, 27, became engaged to the 44-year-old Mission: Impossible star within weeks of their meeting 15 months ago. Raised a Roman Catholic, Katie has now joined Tom in the Church of Scientology - which teaches that humans are descended from aliens known as 'Thetans', who were banished to Earth 75 million years ago.
