Harry Potter set to strip off on stage

Actor Daniel Radcliffe will bare all in a West End play

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will make his West End debut in the nude.

The 17-year-old actor will play Alan Strang in Peter Shaffer's Equus - a drama about a psychologically disturbed stable boy who's fixated with horses.

And the role means Radcliffe will have to simulate a sex act while riding naked on a horse.

The play will open in January 2007 and actor Richard Griffiths, who plays Harry Potter's uncle in the films, is being lined up to play the role of his psychiatrist.

The pair are currently filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth in the series.

When Equus was first staged in 1973 it caused an uproar but was later made into a film with Richard Burton.
