Ant marries long-term love

Dec is best man at friend’s wedding to Lisa Armstrong

Anthony McPartlin, better known as one half of TV duo Ant and Dec, married his long-term girlfriend Lisa Armstrong on Saturday [22 July].

In heavy showers, Ant, 30 arrived with his best man and presenting partner Declan Donnelly, also 30, for the ceremony at St Nicholas church in Taplow, Buckinghamshire.

Wedding guests included TV presenter Phillip Schofield, and his wife Stephanie, celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke and former GMTV weather girl Sally Meen with her fiancé Russ Lindsay.

In his after-dinner speech during the reception at country hotel Cliveden House, Bucks, Dec told guests: ‘I'm the best man today. I've always known I was the best man, it's just taken Ant some time to realise it.’

Messages from friends who couldn't make the bash - including Robbie Williams and Cat Deeley - were read out. And cheeky Dec pretended one was from Ant's Thai bride.

Ant and Lisa, 29 - who is a make-up artist - turned down offers of £1 million to sell their wedding photos.
