Brave Kylie Minogue has spoken for the first time about the moment she was told she had cancer - in a bid to help fellow sufferers.
During her tearful TV interview with Cat Deeley, which will be broadcast on Sky One at 9pm on Sunday 16 July, the singer admits the news hit her 'like a bomb'.
She said: 'I had one day's grace when I knew and went for a walk down to the beach with my brother and my boyfriend and I would have then been in a total daze.
'And then the next day we made the announcement and I was virtually a prisoner in the house. I was completely thrown into another world.'
Kylie, 38, whose breast cancer is now in remission, also describes how upset she felt for her parents and how she is still coming to terms with the fact she's had cancer.
But the star ends the interview with a message of hope for other sufferers and urges: 'You can get through it. You can.'
