Ali G's Prawn Bramley Noodles

Whoever thought Ali G could cook? This recipe is 'wicked', man!

Ingredients

175g/6oz medium egg noodles
1tbsp sesame oil
2tbsp dark soy sauce
1tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2tbsp vegetable oil
350g/12oz Bramley apples, cored and sliced
1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
100g/4oz mangetout, sliced
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2.5cm/1in piece root ginger, chopped
1 bunch spring onions, shredded
225g/8oz cooked tiger prawns, thawed if frozen

Method

1 Cook the noodles according to packet instructions. Drain, toss in the sesame oil and set aside.
2 Prepare the spicy sauce by mixing the soy and chilli sauces together until smooth. Set aside.
3 Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok. Add the Bramley apples and pepper slices and stir-fry for 4 mins or until golden. Add the mangetout, garlic and ginger and stir-fry for 2 mins.
4 Add the spring onions, prawns and spicy sauce to the wok with 150ml/¼pt water and stir-fry for 1 min. Stir in the noodles and serve immediately.
