Guests will dress as cowboys and cowgirls

How could Victoria Beckham leave Blighty without a party? She couldn't...

According to sources close to her and David, the couple are planning a farewell fanfare that’s going to make the pre-World Cup Full Length And Fabulous ball look like a kids’ tea party.

After careful consideration, the Beckhams have decided to hold the A-list celebrity party once they arrive in LA, where David, 31, will play football for LA Galaxy and Victoria, 32, will launch her fashion career.

Their previous parties have all had a theme and this one’s no different, although hardly original – all guests will have to wear something America-inspired.

‘David and Victoria want to arrive in the States with a bang,’ says our source. ‘And they also want the opportunity to show off their new Hollywood friends, who we all know about now: the likes of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez.

'There’ll be an American theme, so expect the food to be hot dogs and burgers and plenty of celebs to be dressed as cowboys and cowgirls.'
