John Leslie leaves ex-girlfriend holding their baby

The former This Morning presenter snubs ex-girlfriend Rachel Bentley after the birth of their daughter

John Leslie has snubbed the former lover who's just given birth to their baby girl.

He has made no contact with Rachel Bentley, 24, since their daughter Isabelle Angela was born two weeks ago.

Rachel says: 'John doesn't even know if he is daddy to a little boy or a little girl.

'But that's his choice. He knew when I was due to give birth but has failed to get in touch, even through a third party.'

In her interview with The People the 24-year-old added: 'It saddens me to think that the lovely caring John I knew doesn't want anything to do with this beautiful little baby of ours.'

Leslie, 41, began dating Rachel in February 2005 but he dumped her when she told him she was pregnant.

His career had collapsed in 2002 when he was accidentally named as the man at the centre of alleged rape claims by Ulrika Johnsson.

Other women came forward with stories about his private life. He was later cleared of all sexual assualt charges but information about his cocaine use still cost him his job as a presenter.
