Rapper is in tears as he attempts to sing about beloved mother Donda

Monday, 19 November 2007

Kanye West has broken down in tears on stage in Paris.

The rapper was performing track Hey Mama, which is a tribute to his mum Donda West, who died unexpectedly last week following a plastic surgery op.

Distraught Kanye, 30, wept and had to be consoled by bandmates as he started to sing the emotional track.

He held his head in his hands and was unable to continue.

Kanye then left the stage for a short period, before returning to belt out hit song Stronger, reports The Sun.

Donda's funeral is expected to take place in Oklahoma City tomorrow. Kanye was in Paris to kick-off his European tour.

He insists that Donda's death won't interfere with his touring plans.
