Anastacia to marry minder

British bodyguard has won her heart

Anastacia will marry her British bodyguard in March next year.

The 38-year-old star – born Anastacia Lyn Newkirk in Chicago – fell for minder Wayne Newton, also 38, from Beckenham, after he protected her on a number of tours.

‘He went down on bended knee and said he couldn't imagine a life where he wasn't protecting her,' an insider told The Sun.

‘She said yes instantly. They are so much in love it is unbelievable.'

Martial arts expert Wayne became a massive support to Anastacia, after she battled breast cancer. He split up with his girlfriend Lorraine Elston – the mother of his two children, aged nine and two – after falling for the American singer.
