Frankie Cocozza's old indie rocker look
When Frankie Cocozza was on The X Factor, his styling was arguable better than some of his vocals.
But Frankie's swapped his signature shaggy hairdo for a preppy new cut courtesy of X Factor hairdresser Jamie Stevens.
Frankie visited Jamie's west London salon to have his long locks chopped into a matinee idol-worthy short-back-and-sides, in a shocking style transformation.
Speaking exclusively to Now Online, Jamie reveals, 'When I gave Frankie his X Factor hair makeover, the Russell Brand indie rocker look suited his direction at the time.
'But to be honest I've been trying to persuade him to cut it off ever since X Factor, so this week, I said, "Right, come on!"
'There's only so much abuse he could take from people saying it looked like a bird's nest and looking like he hadn't washed it.'
Jamie faced the Twitter wrath of Frankie Cocozza fans who were angry about Frankie losing his trademark 'do.
'One of Frankie's fans threatened to shoot me and someone said they'd break my legs!'
Undeterred, Jamie got snipping.
'Frankie was absolutely sh*tting himself,' he tells us.
'He was going to bottle out, but when the paparazzi arrived, and by the time his haircut was trending on Twitter, he couldn't back out.
'I've kept the length at the top so he can wear it in a quiff or in a side part. Frankie's put on a little bit of weight in his face, and he knows it, so a cut that's shorter through the back and sides makes his face look slimmer.'
While Frankie was in the salon, he also had his monobrow tweezed to complete his new clean-cut look.
Due to popular demand from devoted Frankie Cocozza fans, Frankie and Jamie are selling the hair that Frankie's had cut off for charity in memory of his best friend Connor Saunders who died recently.
