Posh's voice barely there on Spice Girls track
Monday, 22 October 2007
Victoria Beckham is said to have been given just 4 lines to sing on the Spice Girls’ comeback single.
Posh, 33, has never had the strongest voice and it's barely audible on Headlines (Friendship Never Ends), especially as she shares one of the 4 lines with Mel B, 32.
Instead Emma Bunton, 31, Geri Halliwell and Mel C, 33, do the lion’s share of the singing, as they penned the song.
Pop Idol judge Pete Waterman, 60, says he isn’t surprised. ‘I couldn’t produce Victoria,’ he tells the Daily Star. ‘I don’t see enough in her voice.’
But a spokesman for the band says the girls all get to do their bit on the tune: ‘The verses have all been shared out equally among the five members and they all sing together on the chorus.’
