Scientology leaders praise actor

Tom Cruise has been singled out by Scientology leaders as the 'Christ' of the cult-like religion.
The actor, 44, has been told he's been 'chosen' to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.
'Tom has been told he's Scientology's Christ-like figure,' a source tells The Sun.
'Like Christ, he's been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.'
The Mission: Impossible star has been a member of the Church of Scientology since the 1980s and has attracted criticism for his beliefs.
Scientology leader L Ron Hubbard famously claimed that humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.
Puh-leeeease! Tom Cruise...Christ-like figure for Scientology? Gag! Who could ever believe this stuff called Scientology? It would take an idiot to believe this. It's a promise of attaining fame, riches, godhood, all done by brainwashing you into believing its secrets. Operation Clambake was started by someone who joined, but refused to buy into the beliefs and made it his goal to educate people about what he learned about this secretive sect, what he learned from others who left. As Ron L. Hubbard stated, "If you want to become rich, start a religion." Such a profound statement comes from a science fiction writer! I guess he became the star figure in his science fiction mind. The book he wrote on Scientology, "Dianetics", unfolds his fictitious cult basics. To learn more, you have to join the cult and pay money to advance. Rather than join them, maybe we should pray that the folly of this religion be revealed to the members before more damage is done.
