Singer ordered to take medical evaluation after refusing to hand over kids

Britney Spears was taken to hospital by stretcher last night after she refused to hand her 2 sons back to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The singer, 26, was ordered to have a medical evaluation after exceeding her visitation time.

Brit - who has the boys 3 times a week - was allowed to see Sean Preston, 2, and 1-year-old Jayden James until 7pm.

But when the court-appointed monitor arrived to pick them up, she refused to let them go. Preston was put in the car but Britney locked herself in a room with her youngest son.

The emergency services were called and police arrived as well as fire engines, two ambulances and a helicopter.

‘While officers were on the scene, they observed Ms Spears under the influence of an unknown substance,’ LAPD officer Jason Lee tells People.com.

‘She is now being taken in for an evaluation, more than likely to a hospital.

'There were no reported injuries to anyone involved including the children.’

A second ambulance is reported to have transported Jayden James behind his mum's vehicle and Sean Preston was photographed in a car with Kevin Federline's assistant.

Britney's dad Jamie and her pal Sam Lutfi have now arrived at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the boys are back at Kevin's Tarzana home.
