Mel, 33, says: 'I did a show with Russell Brand recently and I was rather scared of him. He’s a little bit crazy and wacky – and there were all those sexual innuendos! But he was lovely. You know what it’s like when someone shocks you because you thought you were going to be on edge? Well he made me feel very comfortable – and I was so surprised.

'My first crush was Adam Ant. Even in all that make-up, he was gorgeous in a grungey, Russell Brand kind of way. My cousin used to copy Adam’s new romantic style and wear kilts. He went on to be a hard-as-nails body builder!

'Johnny Depp’s pretty unbeatable, isn’t he? There’s no one better in Hollywood. He’s totally gorgeous – a fantastic actor who picks brilliant roles and always goes for the more interesting parts. I can’t think of a film he’s made that I don’t love. He ticks all the boxes, really.

'I’m a comedy girl and I love anything with Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler in it. Zoolander’s one of my favourites. I obviously like I Want Candy as well!'
