Royal couple head their separate ways
Monday, 3 December 2007
Kate Middleton and Prince William won't be kissing under the mistletoe on Christmas Day.
The couple - who briefly split in April - have decided to eat their turkey and stuffing with their own families to avoid any awkwardness over invites to the palace.
‘Kate and Wills are now firmly back on track, but they both accepted they wouldn’t be spending Christmas together this year,’ reveals a source.
‘Kate is looking forward to a relaxed holiday in a private hideaway in Barbados and spending time with her family, while Wills will stick to royal protocol by being at Sandringham.’
But despite being separated over the festive holidays, the couple, both 25, are said to be stronger than ever and are planning a reunion for New Year's Eve.
Meanwhile, Kate has caused waves in the Royal camp because she's refusing to take part in Prince Charles' annual pre-Christmas pheasant shoot at Sandringham next weekend.
Her decision comes after she was heavily criticised by animal rights campaigners in October.
