Camden home has too many bad memories
Tuesday, 4 December 2007
Amy Winehouse is selling her house.
The singer, 24, hates the North London home she shared with Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, because it reminds her of bad times.
The place was raided when her husband was taken into custody and charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
'The Camden house holds a lot of bad memories — it was the scene of her drug overdose and is full of reminders of Blake,' says a source.
'Now, with Blake in prison, she can hardly bring herself to walk through the door.'
Amy - who is currently staying at hairdresser pal Alex Foden's flat - plans to move to Bow, East London and is said to have snapped up a property she fancies in the area.
'She’s bought a place in East London and plans to sell the Camden pad,' a source tells The Sun. 'She thought she could live a quieter life and keep out of the spotlight a bit if she left Camden.'
So far that plan's not going very well. Paparazzi snapped Amy wandering about in just jeans and a bra in the early hours of Sunday morning - and barefoot again yesterday when she popped out to cadge cigarettes.
This time she pulled on a jumper before asking a group of builders for a smoke.
'She had no make-up on and no shoes,' says the source. 'It was sad. She must have a fortune in the bank but was wandering around like a tramp.'
