What the hell is going on at The X Factor? Every week the rubbish singers survive, while the ones that can carry a tune get sent home. At this rate I may have to stop ranting about it and actually start voting despite the fact that, knowing my luck, my vote may not be counted, but will still be charged.

Anyway on to the farce that was Saturday night’s show. The fact that Daniel wasn’t in the final two is a travesty. I will admit he did sing the song well, but was by far one of the worst two of the bunch . He looks like a cab driver who accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up on stage. I even have to give Louis credit for pointing out that ‘it suited his limited vocal range’. Spot on.

What annoys me more though is the fact that Rachel was saved from the bottom two. Most of her performance was flat and uninspiring. She clearly has a serious attitude problem after dumping Dannii [I don’t care what Dannii says, picking your own songs, outfit etc. on your own means you’ve stuck two fingers up to your mentor really now doesn’t it?]. I’m not going to get into what was printed in the paper about her because I don’t have to – her performance alone means she shouldn’t be in the competition, no matter how many old ladies she 'allegedly' mugged in her past.

It’s ridiculous that Laura has gone as she was by far one of the best singers. I get that Ruth sang very well, but for me she just doesn’t have the X Factor and Laura did. Simon did have a point that she needed to go back to the quirky style she had in the auditions, but that could easily have been achieved if she’d just had the chance. I thought Eoghan was great again – which has nothing to do with the fact that I have £20 on him at the bookies. JLS were looking better than ever and Alexandra put in another good performance.

Please people, don’t vote for the sob story or because somebody cries and feels sorry for themselves. Vote because they can sing and could be a star. Think Leona Lewis not Steve Brookstein. Thank you m’lud, I rest my case.

Sorry but Laura was awful. Why was she playing the piano? It's a singing contest. Leona Lewis plays the piano but she didn't use one in the show. That dress Laura had on made her look huge as well.

SPOT ON KAREN! I COULD NOT AGREE MORE! X Factor has now gone political and you do not vote for the talent, you vote for the popular/not so talented acts, just like the eurovision contest. Which is really sad as I really enjoyed watching X Factor but I have now switched to Strictly as it is not as annoying as X Factor.

Well well i am still in shock with Laura being put out on Saturday,what is wrong with the public ...truly one of the best singers there, I have said from day one that she would be one to make the big time ..It really puts me off now to watch the X Factor as every week the good ones are going out and the bad ones kept in, what is wrong with everyone !!! SHOCKING !!!

Big mistake Simon and Louis( who incidentally before his U turn said that Ruth was more suitable in a Barcelona bar!) Lets hope that now free of the X Factor shambolic farce Laura will become a major voice in UK music without them..

Ok, Like everyone else I was angry to hear that Laura was seeing someone 'connected' to the XFactor; I mean it is a competition and lke all competitions if you are related ....you cannot enter. It would have looked like a fix if she did win...let's be honest with ourselves. But, she would have won the Xfactor because of her ability. On the other hand, Rachel has a natural raw talent...this is a singing competion NOW, and not a competition that your a 'lass' from the majority group. America got over it when Obama became president elect, you what...so should you and vote for the most talented person left, RACHEL HYLTON.
