Darnell, Rex, Mikey, Rachel and Sara fight it out to be named the winner of BB9...
Friday, 5 September 2008
… Rachel. How disappointing is that? Nice girl and all, but I’d swap her for Scrabble too. 51 per cent of the vote. Seriously? I’d rather Mikey had won, which just makes me feel even more sad.
The moment Darnell was announced in fifth place I had a feeling it wasn’t going to go my way tonight. When Rex quickly followed my heart continued to sink. I know they might not have always been the most pleasant of housemates, but damn it, they were far more entertaining than any of the final three, you could see that purely by the standard of best bits showreels on offer this evening.
I have to admit that I was kind of pleased Rex didn’t win in he end though because I didn’t want Nicole to think she was popular purely by association. Sara was nice enough, although I couldn’t quite understand how she got so far without contributing anything apart from an impressive skill for flirting with anything with a pulse and a really annoying voice. Mikey at least did quite a few funny things in the house [especially his waterfights with Rex] but he shouted all the time and liked Mario. The one good thing about Rachel winning is the fact that Bex and Luke must be seething. Ha ha!
I don’t think her victory is a fair representation of the series though. I know BB has had its knockers this series and the viewing figures haven’t been as high as in the past. However, having watched all of BB9 and every other series before this one I can honestly say its been good. Believe me I sat through the whole of BB4.
We had nasty piece of work Alex, the smudged painting saga [No Jen,you are not Monet] this also included Dennis showing himself for the nasty little man he is. There was unlikely romance in the form of Luke and Bex not to mention, conflict, marriage proposals, cookie love and a lot of impressive food fights. BB was also back on form when it came to cruel tasks and evil jokes. The housemates this year may not have been the nicest, but damn it I've enjoyed hating most of them.
But that’s it. Another year is over. My evenings will be free again to watch other programmes, but I have to admit I will miss it. Anyway, I’ll leave you with three of my favourite moments from this series. Roll on Celeb BB…

How did the dullest housemate in the world even get on BB9, let alone win? I can't stand Rachel. People may say she won because she's really nice, but I think her inability to express any opinion shows her lack of intelligence and personality!
i soo agree-rachel did not deserve to win-she was sooo boring and ok she was a nice person but i think theres more to that then she showed-mikey or darnel or rex should have won as thats what u call entertainment and i thought thats what big brother is for-i really doubt im going to be watching next year-also there was a beauty contest and rachel wore heels-now thats cheating as they werent allowed to wear heels-so u saying that there isnt more to than what she wante dto show us-yes luke was right-she def had a game plan!!! BIG BROTHER I AM SOOOO DISAPOINTED
