We’re into the final stretch now and for once in Big Brother there is still no obvious winner. Even I can’t make my mind up who I want to win. I know the vast majority of people won’t agree with me, but I think out the remaining contestants I would kind of like Rex or Darnell to take it.
They’ve both had their ups and downs and dipped in and out of my favour, but out of the left over housemates these are the two that have entertained me the most. Yes, Rex is arrogant, egotistical and has a nightmare of a girlfriend. Meanwhile, Darnell is insecure and occasionally aggressive. However, out of all of them, both of these seem to acknowledge and understand their shortcomings and aren’t afraid to say sorry if they’re in the wrong. I think they’ve also learnt a lot about themselves without having to use the dreaded phrases: ‘I’ve been on a journey’ or ‘it’s been a rollercoaster’.
I’d be a bit disappointed if Kat, Sara or Mohammed won. If Mikey won I’d begrudgingly allow it and if Rachel snatched the prize it would be Cameron Stout all over again. Then again it’s hardly like the final week is going with a bang, it’s definitely much more of a whimper.
Monday night’s biggest excitement was a row between Kat and Darnell where Kat totally took a joke the wrong way and I really felt for Darnell getting landed with the blame. But that was it. Ho hum.
PS: I’d like to apologise for the lack of blogs, I’ve been watching it sure enough, but following Lisa’s lackluster eviction I just couldn’t summon up the energy to write one. Not because I have a very small baby to look after, but the sight of Mario and Lisa getting it on left me weak from being sick.
