Lisa and Sara are up for nomination, but are still quids in...
Thursday, 28 August 2008
It’s a sad day when Mikey could well be my favourite male housemate. Mo had become the front runner, but after his flagrant cheating in the Vegas task I’m not so sure.
I also liked the fact that Mikey, like Rex, was up front about taking the cash and running if you don’t think you have a chance of winning the show. However, I am still slightly disturbed Mikey and Darnell’s Kiki Dee and Elton John. Wrong doesn’t even cover it.
I’m glad Darnell got a bollocking from BB over his behaviour because he really did deserve it. The way he treated Sara was unacceptable. The nub of it though, as Darnell pretty much admitted, was because Sara spurned his advances. While I don’t condone Darnell’s outburst, I still have a soft spot for him and at least he isn’t as bland or contrived as a lot of them.
I liked the glee with which they discussed previous nominations once given the go ahead by BB. Although not as much as I loved the face to face nominations and for once, this year’s housemates [Rachel aside] had no qualms about telling each other who they wanted up.
It was kind of obvious it was going to be Lisa and Sara, although to be honest this week I’m not sure who I would rather leave. While Sara’s voice can be a tad annoying, she’s not too bad and Lisa may not be my cup of tea, but I appreciate the fact she is mad as a box of frogs.
I’m pleased they got £25,000 each although I would have preferred it if BB had chosen a slightly more evil game for them to play. Big Brother 5 had it right when they kept losing money from the prize fund on almost a weekly basis and ended up losing £35,000, if I remember rightly.
It was obvious Sara and Lisa would split it and I think most of the housemates in there would – even Rex – although possibly not Mohammed. However, most of the housemates would not have given the other one a victory piggy back. Then again most of the housemates don’t have muscles of steel like Lisa.
