Finally he’s gone! Arrogant and self important to the last, Michael Sophocles finally got the chop. Three weeks too late, but at least we got there in the end.
He was painfully rubbish. Not only did h go to the worst places in London to try and sell, he virtually stalked people down the street. He was totally deluded throughout and although he may now realise that he was naïve, it’s too little too late.
Meanwhile, I was disappointed with Lucinda, who had been becoming my favourite. While I admit Lee and Alex were sidelining her and do treat her like a slightly batty aunt, she didn’t really make anything better for herself by whinging the whole time. I never thought I would say this at the beginning of the series, but Lee McQueen to win it. That’s what I’m talking about.
Anyway the end is almost nigh and it’s time for my favourite episode of the series. On a par with the makeover episode on America's Next Top Model, the interview episode of The Apprentice is guaranteed TV gold. They all break under the pressure, their CV lies are revealed and they get uncovered for the under qualified idiots we all knew they were. Maybe it would have been nice for Michael to stick around for another week after all. I’d pay money to see his CV.
