Accidental hero

I will never look at The Antiques Roadshow in the same way again...

I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but The Antiques Roadshow just got exciting.

The only other time I have ever shown an interest in the Sunday night yawn fest was when my mum featured on an episode in the early 80s after she took some engraved emu eggs down to the experts when they visited the Guildhall in Portsmouth.

Not only was she picked to appear, but she had a red face the whole way through as she was told they were worth a whopping £200. The eggs were then wrapped in more bubble wrap than I thought possible and hidden in a corner of the loft. They have not seen the light of day since.

Anyway enough of my family tales, here’s the new BBC HD trailer that somehow makes Antiques kind of sexy. I shall never look at David Dickinson in the same way again…
