From the moment he mouthed the word 'yes' at the mention of the photography task, Simon's fate on The Apprentice was sealed.
I understand why Sir Alan had to fire him, but it was disappointing as he was probably the only nice and normal contestant in the series, while his boardroom nemesis Claire was vile beyond words.
The team had no respect for Simon from the off. Alex had no backbone and wanted no responsibility, while Claire was a complete madam. Not only was she insubordinate and patronsing, but so insanely rude I wanted to strangle her.
To be fair, the other team only got away with it by the skin of their teeth. Their idea may have been better, but their technical set up was laughable.
Helene deliberately put Lucinda in charge of printing, despite the fact her handle on technology made my mum look like Bill Gates so she'd be in the firing line if it went wrong. Last week I said I liked Helene, now I'm rapidly changing my mind.
Lucinda may be incredibly aggravating and rubbish, but the other women just bully her. Luckily Sir Alan saw this. He also seemed to get the measure of Claire even though he failed to fire her.
I would also like to big up Margaret and Nick this week. Margaret kicked Claire and Alex's arses in the boardroom. Claire did treat Simon like dirt and Alex couldn't have stepped back more if he tried.
The only thing I can cling on to is the fact that when Sir Alan gave Simon the boot he said 'with regret' before 'you're fired'.
You're better than this Simon, let the others rip each other to shreds, it's far more entertaining. Forget Jeremy Kyle, this is bear baiting at its extreme.
