Anna Friel shows that in Pushing Daisies death really does become her...
Saturday, 12 April 2008
Ahhh, isn’t Pushing Daisies lovely? It was like a technicolor Tim Burton film with a touch of Desperate Housewives and Six Feet Under thrown in for good measure. OK, it’s twee beyond belief, but I kind of like it.
I even have a tinge of pride that Anna Friel is in it. Beth from Brookside has done good where Zoe from EastEnders has fallen at the first hurdle.
It even helps me get over the fact that my boyfriend drooled every time Anna came on screen.
It'll be interesting to see how it pans out as a series, but it brought a smile to face and almost melted my heart of stone. Almost.
