Skinned alive

The entire cast of Skins face the chop...

I’ve just read the news that at the end of this series of Skins the entire cast are going to be given the push.

Although this may seem a little unfair, as so far they have all done some sterling work, I think it’s a fantastic idea. Not only does it keep the series fresh, it also [like most of the actors who are in it now] gives newcomers their first big break.

In some ways it’s a shame because there are some characters that I’ll really miss, but it will be nice for a series not to sit on it’s laurels and just keep churning out the same stuff.

It also shows actors in other shows not to get too comfy – everyone can be replaced. Ooh I love it. Now if only they could do something similar on several other shows. Hollyoaks ‘actors’, watch you backs…
