The premise of Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach wasn't as confusing as it sounded on paper, but it still didn't quite gel well.
Moving Wallpaper was by far the better half an hour of TV. Ben Miller was funny as usual as ruthless producer Jonathan Pope, but I'm not sure if some of that was down to being in on the media in jokes.
Overall though it made me laugh which doesn't happen very often with an ITV comedy.
Moving Wallpaper wiped the floor with Echo Beach, which made Hollyoaks look like an acting masterclass.
I couldn't quite tell if it as supposed to be bad or was just bad. More Home And Away than EastEnders the young cast were pretty, but not much to write home about. It wasn't The O.C no matter how much the soundtrack tried to prove it was.
What on earth was going on with Jason Donovan's accent? Although to be fair Johnny Briggs' Cornish accent was even worse.
I'll still give it another go, but maybe stick to Corrie when it comes to soaps.
