A little black dress is every Style Editor's fashion fall-back, so for dinner at Novikov with the Now mag fashion girls last night, I took inspiration from Jameela Jamil with a bugle-beaded showstopper £85 from the Jam by Jameela Jamil collection for Very.co.uk.

While Jameela's curvy and proud, I'm ashamedly apple-shaped, but the super-sexy cut-out mesh panels created the illusion of a much-needed nipped-in waist.

I styled this show-stopper with gold Gwen platforms £75 from Schuh.co.uk and dressed it down by slinging my trusty Topshop Boutique leather biker jacket £165 over my shoulders.
