Mad Men. In a word it's brilliant.
I am madly (!) catching up with all the box sets now in anticipation for the new series when it hits UK screens early next year.
Everything about Mad Men is just fantastic - the actors and actresses, the storylines, attention to detail and of course, the fashion is breathtaking.
The vintage Mad Men styles of elegant housewife Betty Draper, sexy office manager Joan Holloway and sensible copywriter Peggy Olson seem to have caught on.
As this season, ladylike curves and late 50's/early 60's fashions are all the rage - as seen on the Prada and Louis Vuitton catwalk shows.
So, you can imagine how excited I was to hear about a Mad Men fashion collection. Designed by Mad Men's costume designer Janie Bryant it will sell exclusively on QVC.
The 20-piece capsule collection will be called Mod by Janie Bryant and will feature clothing, jewellery and accessories. Items include Faux fur leopard print coats, pillbox hats, a raspberry satin swing coat, chain handbags and a variety of pin brooches
Mod by Janie Bryant for QVC is due to launch on September 29 but a few items will be available from next month. Prices range from $28-$138 (add on shipping to UK as at present will only be available in US).
If you can't wait that long check out River Island, Dorothy Perkins and Topshop who all have a stunning range of fifties dress, leopard print coats and vintage handbags and clothes for the new season.
For true Mad Men fans:
Keep an eye out for a new book about the fashions of Mad Men out early next year or pre-order at Amazon now.
