My new Fashion Crush…

J. Crew comes to the UK

Gossip Girl Jessica Szohr shops at J.Crew

If you've ever been to America to shop then your first ports of call may include Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie (my fave), and Victoria's Secret the list goes on and on....

But, with most if not all of these stores hitting the UK within the last year or so (Victoria's Secret is rumoured to be opening in the UK soon) - on London's Regent Street (far better than Oxford Street anyday). There was just one store missing from the pack...J.Crew.

For a while this store was perceived as an upmarket Gap - where you shopped for good quality tees, beautiful cashmere and easy-chic pieces. Not a fashion store to be reckoned with.

Not so anymore - this American institution (which opened in 1983) is now at the forefront of fashion and offers much more than just wardrobe basics.

It helps that it's fast gathering a celebrity following with the likes of The OC's Rachel Bilson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gossip Girl stars Jessica Szohr (who plays Vanessa) and sexy Ed Westwick (Chuck).

Not only that it gets the First Lady seal of approval too - as Michelle Obama has been out in many J.Crew dresses and sexy cardigans. And, best of all it's now selling over here for the first time!
