I have an addiction. There I said it.
I will openly admit after getting semi-permanent eyelash extensions 2 weeks ago, I am slightly concerned that I will never be able to go back to only wearing mascara.
My eyelashes have never been my strongest feature; they are relatively short, blonde and just lack any lustre.
And being surrounded by girl friends who own naturally long, thick eyelashes, usually results in me plaguing my eyelids with falsies every Saturday night to gain that open-eyed, pretty doll look!
When I was given the opportunity to get permanent lashes, just like Cheryl Cole's, I leaped at the chance quicker than you can say 'volumizing mascara'!
So last month I took myself off to be ‘Jinny Lashed'- a personal favourite beauty treatment of Miss Cole's.
After I was given the choice of my desired length, curl and thickness of the semi-permanent lashes, the technician quickly got to work.
I simply just lay on a bed whilst each lash was delicately attached to my own. The process took about one and half hours, which in my opinion was totally worth it, as the lashes are said to last up to four weeks.
I'm on my second week now, and though a couple have fallen out along with my own lashes I pretty much still have a full set of long fluttering Cheryl-esque lashes.
I am dreading the end of the month, when my fair stumpy eyelashes reappear.
But for now, may I just ask-
"Mirror, mirror on the wall who has the thickest (longest) eyelashes of them all?"
I do!!
Prices start at £80 for half a set and £150 for a full set. Eyelash retouches are also available at £1 per lash.
