Newsflash: Everybody Hates Natasha

The real reason I hate Natasha Kaplinsky

Over the weekend, a well-known columnist in a quality tabloid wrote:

“Unlike most people (mainly women) who have been slagging her off, I’m looking forward to watching Natasha Kaplinsky’s debut on Five News next week.

Natasha is beautiful, intelligent, hard-working and very good at her job. She’s also, by the way, a lovely girl. That’s why she gets up other women’s noses, especially those striving to be as successful as she is.”

Er…actually the real reason most people (mainly me) have been slagging her off is that she steals other women’s fiancés – specifically her erstwhile Strictly Come Dancing partner Brendan Cole – and is in dire need of a style make-over.

Brendan’s former fiancée, Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup is gorgeous, gracious and a good celebrity friend of mine, and for the record, she doesn’t have a bad word to say about Kaplinsky. So allow me. No-one likes a home-wrecker, Natasha.

Purely in a profession capacity, it’s my duty to urge Natasha to find a half decent hairdresser, modernise her make-up and stop using her mum’s wardrobe for fashion ideas. It’s making her look about 20 years older than the age she's claiming to be.

Even Trevor McDonald – who ITN have just wheeled out of retirement – has more fashion credibility than Kaplinsky, and needless to say, I won’t be tuning into the news next week.
