Ms Willoughby sticks two fingers up at her fashion critics

Not so long ago, pear-shaped presenter Holly Willoughby told me her most sacred style commandment was never put anything on your bottom that’s going to attract attention, and she’s certainly stood by her mantra if the dazzling selection of sequin-strewn Dancing On Ice dresses are anything to go by.

Last week, Holly was slammed by the public for her plunging Grecian gown. “I can’t believe the stir it’s caused,” she admits. “I’ve had people coming up to me in the street saying how much they like it.”

There’s a time for dressing appropriately – and prime time TV’s probably comes under that category - but dressing inappropriately’s far more fun.

So this Sunday I’m happy to see that she paid those party poopers absolutely no attention at all and came out all guns blazing in an equally daring LBD.
