London Fashion Week

Back from New York just in time for the six straight days of catwalk shows, fashion parties, and air kissing commonly known as London Fashion Week.

If any fully paid-up fashion girl tells you it’s not her favourite time of year, she’s either a liar or she’s not going to the right parties!

Thanks to a front-row appearance from Kate Moss last season, Topshop Unique’s fast becoming a force to be reckoned with on the show schedule, and yesterday’s event at the Covent Garden Piazza didn’t disappoint.

Caught up with 60s legend and Now all-time fashion hero Celia Birtwell, who was bemoaning the lack of decent prints on the high street, and swapped beauty secrets with rock chick Kimberly Stewart from the front row.

Next season, expect futuristic silver, kingfisher blue velvet and structured pin-tucked pleats if Topshop are anything to go by…and it usually is!

And if that wasn’t glamorous enough, I bumped into Chantelle – who I hadn’t seen for ages – shoe shopping in Dune on London’s South Molton Street. While she was ummm-ing and ahhh-ing over leopard print peep-toes and gold platform heels, Preston was outside on dog duty, keeping an eye on their adorable chihuahua Beetlejuice while simultaneously fending off female fans. Who’s a pretty boy then? And that’s just Preston!
