When a friend request from Wasted Youth flashed up on My Space, I just presumed it was just another Nu Rave night for cool kids in Shoreditch.
Thursday, 26 April 2007
When I took a closer look I realised it was from my friend and former Now journalist Dan Fulvio. Dan’s 22-year-old brother tragically took his own llfe on Christmas Eve last year, and he’s putting on a charity gig called Wasted Youth in his brother’s memory.
I'm gutted for Dan, and I'll definitely be there, and you should be too, so if you’re a My Spacer, show your support by adding www.myspace.com/whatiswastedyouthlive to your friends and tell them I sent you.
Proceeds from Wasted Youth will go to Papyrus, a voluntary organisation for the prevention of suicide in teenagers and young adults and supporting those living with depression and emotional distress.
The gig’s in September 2007, and Dan really knows how to have a good time, so expect Wasted Youth to give Live Aid a run for its money, and go down in gig history.
Take care of each other, Planet Fashionistas…
