The new My Space?

Now as a fully paid-up My Spacer, it's caused me a great deal of concern that during the past week, everyone's been defecting to Facebook. It all kicked off when Tom H – who we met on a fashion shoot last week – was flashing his Facebook account.

Then my mate Tim mentioned he'd fled to Facebook since his ex got custody of My Space after the break-up. Now Laura – Now's Deputy Star Style Editor who's always been vehemently against all my My Space shenanigans, is Facebook's newest recruit!

As far as I can see, Facebook's a starker, more minimalist version of My Space where you can't have a list of your Top 8 friends, you can't customise what Facebook junkies call 'your wall', and you can't download your favourite tracks – or tracks written by super-hot bass players who you've been hanging out with – onto your page.

Plus, none of my friends are on it (apart from Tom, Tim and Lau), so I certainly won't be jumping the My Space ship just yet!
