Now magazine moved house today, so our computers were snatched from under us and we were all sent packing to our local, The Brunswick, at lunch time leaving me with the rest of the day to get ready for the best night out I've had in ages.
Started off in the company of Ruth, Now's website's writer and resident hottie, Look magazine's managing editor Duncan plus assorted stylists and fashion photographers at The Hawley Arms, the pub in Camden where Kirsten Dunst and Johnny Razorlight ended up after the Spiderman 3 premiere, to celebrate our friend Paula's birthday.
Mandy, our very own senior picture editor and serious party girl, was coincidently sipping cocktails at a bar five minutes down the road so she rocked up to join us, and remember Tom H who we met on a fashion shoot last week? Well, not only did we manage to lure him away from Facebook back onto My Space, we also succeeded in luring him and a load of his mates out with the girls tonight.
Next stop, The Proud Galleries, which I've only just found out transforms from a gallery space by day to a den of inequity by night. Mandy loves it there and Tom H promised the music was quality.
The music, in fact, turned out to be horrendous, largely due to the fact that my celebrity friend Peaches Geldof, wearing one of the dresses from the Kate Moss Topshop range, was on DJ duty with her geek who'll inherit the earth boyfriend Fred. I've known Peaches for a while, she's a sweetheart and it's always fabulous to see her! Just step away from the decks next time, ok?
