Grace Tay landed in London in the swinging 60s and, judging by her platform boots and mini skirts, every inch a Carnaby Street chick. Groovy baby!
In the 70s, she loved rocking her little Vidal Sassoon haircuts - to which she proudly attributes my hair obsession.
And my passion for homespun hand-knits - and determination to make all my kids clothes till they leave home - definitely comes from my childhood wardrobe.
The fact that my Mum put me on the West End stage at the age of four reveals we both have a flair for the dramatic, and whenever I came home with a show-stopping vintage find, I'd always be greeted with: ‘I had one of those in the 60s. Mine was nicer.'
Having spent the past 10 years dressing celebrities from Hollyoaks to Hollywood, and rifling through the wardrobes of the famous and fabulous for Now Magazine, I reckon I've earned the right to dress how I want, and won't let anyone tell me what to wear.
Except, of course, my Mum!
