'When the phone rings at 2.15 in the morning it's unlikely to be heralding something pleasant. Only someone bad would ring at such an hour. Or someone good with bad news,’ writes Ben Elton in the opening lines of his novel Blast From The Past, which I’m re-reading right now.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the 2am text. Except of course, when it’s from the godfather of drum ‘n’ bass, who in between composing an orchestral work for The Proms at The Royal Albert Hall, made time to jet out to Ibiza to star in the video to Dizzee Rascal’s new single.

Goldie, of course, can text any time he likes!
