“Alex and I often write down words we really like and say, ‘Read this, it’s amazing!'” admits Alexa.

Style icon of the moment Alexa Chung is the girl who has everything  - a successful modeling and TV career, a different Mulberry It bag for everyday of the week, a wardrobe full of Luella prom dresses and her very own statement indie boy, Arctic Monkey Alex Turner.

President and First Lady of the East London scensters have recently swapped Shoreditch for New York, and Alexa has revealed, “I want to write columns and study literature, and just be really clever, have an excellent  vocabulary and be really eloquent.”

Thinking about what to write in my dating column today with my English Literature degree on the mantelpiece, and with “extensive vocabulary and eloquence" virtually in my job description,  the irony isn’t lost on me how much time and thought I've put into channelling Alexa Chung!

And if you ever wondered what the couple du jour do on date night, Alexa admits, “Alex and I often write down words we really like and say, ‘Read this, it’s amazing!'”
