Now you can impress your indie boy with a night of corsets and courtesans at Proud Camden -  rock’n’ roll playground to Camden scenesters such as Coco Sumner, Nat Weller, Amy Winehouse and Sadie Frost - complete with champagne reception, a live set from indie darlings The Displacements, burlesque performances from Roxy Velvet, Kitty Bang Bang and Lady Ane Angel, a DJ set from The Smiths’ bass player Andy Rourke.

The dress code is black tie and burlesque, and the last time I was on the dancefloor at Proud, I bumped into my friend Peaches Geldof with her man in tow, so if it’s good enough for Ms Geldof…
